The 2010 Race for Life is returning to Swansea on 25 July, so sign up now - entry is £12.99 each. The event will start from Museum Green by the National Waterfront Museum.

In case you're wondering what's happening along the Kingsway from the Guildhall tomorrow (10 Nov), the Commonwealth Games baton is arriving in Swansea.
It'll be carried by four schools to Castle Square where the Lord Mayor will meet it to pass on the Queen's message and raise awareness of the 2010 Games.
The BBC Big Screen will be showing footage of well know Welsh athletes who have performed at the Commonwealth Games in the past and there'll be Dragon Sports for children to try out.

On Saturday 17 October, we will be celebrating Wales' National Children's Day at the LC, taking part in all the fun activities going on throughout the day.

Pentrehafod Leisure Centre will be continuing to offer kids aged from 8-15, the chance to participate in their Sports Camp during the school holidays.
All sorts of sporting activities will be covered from football and cricket to volleyball and basketball, so make sure you book your place early by ringing Pentrehafod on 01792 650484.
Congratulations to Emma Savage from Penyrheol Leisure Centre and Becky Debuf from Penlan Leisure Centre, who were the winners of the Active Swansea shape up for summer challenge.
Emma and Becky both used the Active Swansea Leisure Centres to run, swim, cycle, cross train and attended fitness classes to complete at least 44k during the designated period.
Becky was the proud winner of a fantastic Nintendo Wii, while Emma won a meal for 2 at Frankie and Benny's.

Get on down to Bishopston Sports Centre for a special open day this Sunday. There are free tennis sessions between 11am-4pm, with plenty of fun activities for adults and children alike to enjoy.
It will be a great day, and a fantastic opportunity to improve your skills, receive some handy hints and tips, and compete in some tournaments.

The annual Bowls Festival returns to Victoria Park, Swansea from 19 July - 8 August 2009 and is open to all age groups.
Entries need to be in by Monday 15 June, so visit the bowls festival page to get your entry form now.
There are many different categories available, from ladies and gents singles and pairs, to juniors and mixed pairs so give it a go!

Active Swansea's fitness challenge, "shape up for summer", starts this Monday 1 June. So, if you want to get fit this summer and be in with a chance of winning a Nintendo Wii, plus other prizes, then get down to your local Active Swansea Leisure Centre and pick up your entry card.
All you have to do is reach 26 miles or 42k (the equivalent of a marathon), by running, swimming, fitness classes, rowing, playing tennis or cross train and enter the details into your entry card and once you reach the 26 miles or 42k, hand the card into reception.
You will then be in with a chance to win a Nintendo Wii.
