Look out for even more Swansea locations in Torchwood tonight...

If you were wondering why a mysterious pharmacy suddenly opened and then closed again earlier this year, then your questions will be answered in Torchwood tonight.

Quite a few productions use Swansea and Gower locations, and the Torchwood team chose the property in Sketty's Frogmore Avenue to film a crash scene.

Spot the (real) iguana at Plantasia and win a cuddly toy!

If you're visiting Plantasia be sure to keep an eye out for a young iguana who has managed to escape into the hothouse. 

She's having a lovely time and has been spotted a few times by staff, but they'd like to catch her safely.

If you spot her, you could get to name her and also win a cuddly toy - just let a member of staff know where she is.

 Check out the giant John Owen-Jones and Alex Jones pictures on the Brangwyn Hall on your way home tonight. 

It's being done to publicise the Urdd Eisteddfod which takes place in Swansea during the Whitsun holidays 30 May - 4 June.

There are revised times available for the collection of rubbish and recycling.  For example, if your normal collection day fr rubbish is on a Monday, then this will now be on a Tuesday.  View the revised collection days and times.

Have a look to see the opening times of various venues and attractions across Swansea like the Contact Centre, Plantasia, Active Swansea Leisure Centres, Museums and more.

Plus of course, there are still many Summer Holiday Activities throughout Swansea, along with the action packed World Party Weekend which takes place over the weekend.

The City and County of Swansea has up-to-date road gritting and school snow closure information on the council website during this cold snap. 

Dog choir auditions a howling success

Over 30 dogs and their owners lined up in the grounds of the National Waterfront Museum on the weekend to audition for the Canine Choir.  Their 'voices' were triggered by various sounds and encouragements, and while some of the dogs were hit by a bout of stage fright, some gave renditions of everything from the Coronation Street theme tune to Nessun Dorma!

Creator of the event, and artist, Richard Higlett, now has a canine choir in the making, and plans will now be made to record "A song to Jack", a tribute to the legendary, Swansea Jack.
