In January, Swansea Museum welcomes two new exhibitions to commemorate the centenary of the infamous Antarctic expeditions of 1912.
Opening on 7 January, Cold Recall: Reflections of a Polar Explorer, delves into Roald Amundsen's journey to become the first person to reach the South Pole. Geir Klover, Director of the Fram Museum in Oslo, will also be presenting a talk on the exhibition on 19 January. (n.b. Places must be booked in adavance)
Find out about local hero Edgar Evans, who was part of Captain Scott's ill-fated expedition, at the Ninety Degrees South – Edgar Evans, Scott and the Journey to the Pole exhibition which opens on 18 January.
