Road closures on Friday 4 November 2011 for fireworks display in St Helen's Ground

Road closures will be in place for Friday night's Sparks in the Dark firework display from 4.00pm until 9.00pm - see the full details on the fireworks page. 

The entertainment starts at 6.00pm with The Wave and Swansea Sound plus Mal Pope's Cappuccino Girls.   Charlie Simpson will be singing on stage at 7.00pm, and the fabulous firework display commences at 7.30pm.

Advance ticket prices are available until midnight tonight (Thursday 3 Nov) - that's a £5 discount from the on-the-gate price for a family ticket!

Former Busted and Fightstar front man, Charlie Simpson will be taking to the stage this Friday (4 November) at Swansea’s fireworks display.

Charlie, best known for playing lead guitar for pop band Busted, will be performing a number of songs from his debut solo album, Young Pilgrim.

The display is in St Helen’s Rugby Ground and entertainment on stage with The Wave and Swansea Sound starts at 6.00pm with fireworks set to music at 7.30pm.

You can save money by pre-booking your fireworks tickets in advance with a family ticket, available for just £15 for two adults and up to three children.

Tickets for "Sparks in the Dark" Swansea Fireworks display are now available to book online.  Visit www.swansea.gov.uk/fireworks for details on how to buy them in person also.

This years Fireworks display will be held in St Helen's Ground on Friday 4 November, with the gates opening at 5.30pm in readiness for the illumination of Swansea along with further entertainment for the whole family.

Sparks in the Dark 2010 postponed until Tuesday

Due to an extreme weather warning the ‘Sparks in the Dark’ fireworks display at St. Helen’s has been postponed until Tuesday 9 November 2010.

Tickets will still be valid for Tuesday’s display; however any customers not able to attend the rescheduled display will be able to claim a full refund (including any booking fees) from the outlet from which they were purchased.

Arrangements for Tuesday will be exactly the same as they would have been for tomorrow, all times, prices etc will remain as they were.

Family tickets still available for Fireworks

You can still buy family tickets for Swansea's 'Sparks in the Dark' fireworks display on November 5th.

Tickets for 2 adults and up to 3 children are only £12.50!  You cannot get this offer on the gate tho, so make sure you book your tickets in advance online.

Sparks in the Dark is back again this year on the 5th November at St Helen's Ground in Swansea.  Enjoy stilt walkers, glow jugglers, circus skills workshops plus of course, the fireworks display itself.

The sponsor's mascots doing the YMCA dance also made us laugh - Rocky the Road Safety Rooster, Admiral, Gladiator, Arnie the Active Swansea Aardvark, The Wave's Dylan the Dog and Blazer's Bear all had a good go at it -

Electrovamp and Only Men Aloud (and a huge firework display!)

Come along to the Swansea fireworks display called 'Sparks in the Dark' at St Helen's Ground on November 5th - Only Men Aloud will be providing entertainment along with Welsh outfit ‘Electrovamp’.

 

The sisters from Caerphilly are included on the soundtrack to the Simon Pegg film ‘How to Lose Friends and Alienate People’.

Only Men Aloud play Swansea - Nov 5th

Any Only Men Aloud! fans out there?  We're very excited that they'll be singing at the Sparks in the Dark fireworks display at St Helen's on Nov 5th.

For those who haven't got a clue who they are, Only Men Aloud! was started in 2000 by Tim Rhys-Evans who wanted to prove to the public that choirs can be fresh and funky.  They won the BBC's Last Choir Standing competition.

Anyway, they are very good indeed so we hope to see you on Nov 5th!

It's that time of year again, as the tickets have now gone on sale for this years Fireworks display in Swansea, cleverly titled 'Sparks in the Dark'.  Get it?

The evening will kick off with a bang, as the winners of BBC's Last Choir Standing, 'Only Men Aloud' will be performing on array of their songs.
