Penlan Leisure Centre will be making a splash for charity this spring as they join Swimathon 2012 challenge.
You can choose to join the 5k, 2.5k or Team 5k challenges for Marie Curie Cancer Care, or take part in the ‘Big Splash Mile’ raising funds for Sport Relief.
The challenges at Penlan Leisure Centre will start at 2.00pm on Saturday 28 April and at 12.00 noon on Sunday 29 April.
You can sign up for the challenges at www.swimathon.org - entry is half price until the end of January.
Cancer Research UK is a very worthwhile cause, so please help out by either taking part in the Race for Life 2011 or show your support by cheering on all the runners throughout the run and across the finish line, on Wednesday 18 May.
Women from around South Wales will be taking part regardless of age or ability to run, walk or jog their way around the 5k course.

The 2010 Race for Life is returning to Swansea on 25 July, so sign up now - entry is £12.99 each. The event will start from Museum Green by the National Waterfront Museum.

The Race for Life is returning to Swansea for the 8th time, on Sunday 22nd June. This year's series of 5k events will be supported by Tesco, and will be open to 7000 women.

Swansea will be hosting the Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile, for the very first time on the 16th March, so, get your running shoes, and kit yourself out in a pair of Sport Relief socks (just £2, of which at least £1 will go to Sport Relief), and get yourself down to the National Waterfront Museum to raise money for a worthy cause.
