Wales National Airshow comes to Swansea

  Wales National Airshow is coming to Swansea on 11 and 12 July 2009 - make sure you don't miss this fabulous event in the skies above Swansea Bay.

The Red Arrows will be headlining and the Typhoon Eurofighter will be making a very noisy but thrilling appearance too.  Ground displays will make this a great event for all the family to watch, explore and enjoy.

More time to research your family tree

If you are looking to research your family tree, then now is the time, as Swansea Civic Centre has opened its door to the public on Saturdays between 10am and 4pm.

The chance for extensive research on your ancestors is usually scarce, due to the fact most people work during the week, now there is no excuse thanks to the West Glamorgan Archive Service.

Easter activities

Don’t forget that there are lots of Easter holiday activities planned – there'll be fun at Plantasia, libraries, parks and of course your local Active Swansea Centre.

Active Swansea free open days

Don't forget the adult open day at Bishopston Sports Centre tomorrow, Thursday 19 March.  Come along to try classes, have tennis coaching and be shown how to use the gym equipment.

Free Open Days in Swansea Leisure Centres

Swansea's Active Swansea Leisure Centres are putting on FREE open days for you to try out.  From Tennis sessions, to fitness classes like Pilates, Yoga and Spin, to fun in the swimming pool, there is something for everybody.

There's an adult only day at Bishopston Sports Centre on the 19th March, and family fun at Swansea Tennis Centre on the 28th March, Morriston Leisure Centreon the 29th March, plus more to follow.

Time for High School Musical

High School Musical is back at Penyrheol Theatrewith one the UK’s top young theatre groups, the Mark Jermin Stage School, presenting their version of this modern day Disney classic.

Originating from the hit movie and packed full of catchy songs and big dance numbers, this show is certain to deliver that feel-good factor to all the family.

High School Musical runs from 11 – 21 March, with evening and matinee performances available. Tickets are priced at £12.30 / £10.50.

Supernova exhibition at the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery

  Get down to the Glynn Vivian to see the new contemporary exhibition, Supernova.

There are regular talks at the gallery and there's also a family workshop coming up where you can make a mobile with your kids. 

Free swimming lessons for over 50s

Active Swansea is offering a FREE crash course of swimming lessons, starting on Monday 16 March.

Street Dance classes at Morriston

  If you're aged 7 - 16, get yourself down to Morriston for new street dance classes.  The weekend classes are being introduced at Morriston Leisure Centre to get more children moving.
