Track Santa's journey on Christmas Eve

Have you ever tracked Santa's journey around the world on Christmas Eve? 

You'll be able to see him whizz past on Santa cam and see where he is in the world by visiting the NORAD website!

New SwimFin lessons at Penlan Leisure Centre

The SwimFin is a flotation swimming aid shaped like a shark's fin.  It is a new and revolutionary way of helping children learn to swim.  They are great fun, encourage kids to play and make them feel more confident in the water.

These swimming lessons will come into action in January, so enroll on one of the Active Swansea swimming courses at your local leisure centre.

Christmas events in Swansea this week

There are plenty of events and activities to look forward to this week in Swansea. Wednesday 17th December sees the start of this years Christmas Pantomime, Cinderella, in the Grand Theatre. 

The fantastic "Messiah" featuring Morriston Tabernacle Choir will be in the Brangwyn Hall on Saturday 20th December.

You can still book Ice Skating, and take your children to see Santa at his grotto at Waterfront Winterland, while The Wave and Swansea Sound will be broadcasting a live show at the Winterland this Wednesday (17th).

Winifred Coombe Tennant exhibition and talk

Winifred Coombe Tennant was an extraordinary woman. She was a suffragette, political activist and collector of art and her life is revealed in the new exhibition at the Glynn Vivian, Swansea.

There's a talk about the exhibition at 6.30pm on Friday 12 December 2008 - the preview commences at 7pm.

Book launch at Swansea Museum

 Local author Alan Richards will be launching his new book ‘Tinplate Wales’ on Saturday 13 December at Swansea Museum.

Santa likes to be beside the seaside

Santa will be in Mumbles in Swansea this Sunday (14th), to kick off a day of activities planned for the family.  From balloon artists and stilt walkers to wine tasting and hog roast.

The cast of Cinderella from Swansea's Grand Theatre will be drawing the raffle, where you could win VIP tickets to the opening night panto.  There will also be late night opening for the shops, plus The Wave will be broadcasting their breakfast show live from Mumbles Arcade.
