Swansea Life Film Festival is back

Burton.  Zeta-Jones.  Milland.  Hopkins.  Sheen.  Need we say anymore?  It's not just the bright side of the lens that the talents of Welsh film are confined to, however, we have produced some of the world greatest writers also, including Dylan Thomas, Emlyn Williams and Russel T Davies.

So if film is your thing, then this years Swansea Life film festival is just up your street.  The Festival kicks off on Saturday 31st May with and comes to a crescendo on June 7th, with film screenings from the likes of Maureen Lipman, Mike Reid and Kiefer Sutherland at the Dylan Thomas Centre. 

Enjoy a bit of Shakespeare?

Well, between Wednesday June 4th and Thursday June 5th, you can enjoy it.  Outdoors.  That's right, on the grounds of the picturesque Oystermouth Castle, you can sit back in a deckchair, relax (in the sun hopefully) and enjoy the farcical tale of The Merry Wives of Windsor.

You can book your tickets online at Ticketweb.  As this is an outdoor event, please ensure you bring appropriate clothing, as it will take place come rain or shine.

rugby championship all set to heat swansea up this summer

Why not see the best Under 20 rugby players in the world this June, as the top sixteen nations compete for the honour of becoming the inaugural junior world champions.

Hosts Wales will be based in the Ospreys region and will play at the Liberty Stadium along with France, Italy and Japan, who make up the rest of Pool D. 

The Liberty Stadium will also play host to the Championship finals day on Sunday June 22nd, which includes the Championship final and third place play-off.

Tickets for the games at the Liberty Stadium are available from Ticketweb, for as little as £2 for children and £8 for adults for each individual match day.

Keep your children entertained this Whitsun

The Edge of Love Exhibition comes to Swansea

An exclusive exhibition about this summer's much anticipated film, The Edge of Love, detailing the complicated love lives of Dylan Thomas, and the women in his life, is coming to the Dylan Thomas Centre in Swansea.  The exhibition will provide visitors with an insight into the production of the film, which stars Matthew Rhys, Keira Knightley, Sienna Miller and Cillian Murphy.

The Next Andy Murray..?

The Junior Tennis Championships will once again be held in Swansea this august.  Andy Murray competed at the tournament back in 1997, and tennis stars of the future will be looking to emulate the British number one between the 11th and 15th August.
