A Pottery Showcase..

One of Wales' most eminent potters, Walter Keeler, renowned for his contribution to contemporary studio pottery, is currently exhibiting his work at the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery, until the 6th of July.

The Swansea Bay Summer Festival is back!

That is right, and it kicks off with on May 1st with Clyne in Bloom in Clyne Gardens.  The official launch will be on the 5th May, with The Vintage Car Show and Family Fun Day, sponsored by The Wave & Swansea Sound. 

Throughout May also includes some fantastic events such as the Mumbles Mostly Jazz & Blues Festival, Mumbles Navy Days and for the child in you, Thomas & Friends at the Grand Theatre.

The month comes to conclusion with The Swansea Show in Singleton Park, where, if you book before the 16th May, you could be in with a chance of winning a Nintendo Wii.

Experience the Dance Evolution..!

Come and join us at the Grand Theatre on Wednesday May 7th, where the first ever 5x60 Dance Evolution are being held.  Pupils from schools all over Swansea will be competing to become the best dance group in the city.

So, if you want to dance, show your support or just groove with the music, come along to the Grand Theatre this May.

Join the BBC National Orchestra of Wales when they bring the sounds of the United States to the Brangwyn Hall on Saturday 17 May.

Experience America in all its different moods, from the blues and jazz of Gershwin’s New York, the exhilaration of Bernstein’s Candide Overture, through to Copland’s epic Third Symphony.

10th anniversary for Swansea MAS Carnival

The Swansea MAS Carnival at the World Party Weekend is back for a 10th year!  Swansea's biggest and most colourful carnival has grown to become the third biggest MAS Carnival Parade in the UK.

It runs back-to-back with City Streets-Summer Beats as the World Party Weekend returns on the 23rd and 24th August.  Join in the Carnival atmosphere this year...

From New Zealand to Swansea....

Liz and John Forrest live in New Plymouth on the north island of New Zealand.  This year they will be making the long trip to Swansea to complete the Admiral Swansea Bay 10k.  Apart from a plethora of similarities between the two cities, why else would they make such a long journey?  Well, check out our Runner's Stories section for their reasons.

Walk on Water at Penyrheol Leisure Centre

You can now walk on water at Penyrheol Leisure Centre, with the aid of two new 'Waterwalkerz'.  The Active Swansea centre is the first in the area to purchase the transparent balls, which are proving a massive hit in this country after causing a splash in China and Japan.
