The Christmas Parade Returns to Swansea

Picture a smiling Father Christmas on his colourful float making his way along the Kingsway as he waves to mesmerised children and happy parents as the bright Christmas lights are switched on with a wave of his magic wand!

The 18th November will see the return of all these festivities as the Swansea Christmas Parade and Lights Switch-On returns to Swansea by overwhelming public demand.

Start of the Dylan Thomas Festival

The tenth Dylan Thomas Festival starts today and runs until November 9th in the Dylan Thomas Centre, Swansea. 

Dylan Thomas's daughter Aeronwy is appearing tonight, and we're also looking forward to seeing new Dr Who creator Russell T Davies. The highly successful scriptwriter grew up in Swansea and he gives a talk at lunchtime tomorrow.

X Factor winner Shayne will be appearing at the fireworks display in St Helen's rugby ground, Swansea on November 5th!

It should be a great night with some fantastic entertainment from Real Radio to accompany the amazing fireworks.

Gorseinon Library is reopening after a makeover tomorrow, October 13th.  It has been refurbished and is looking great, so call in between 10am - 4pm for activities and a good look around!
